This Privacy Notice explains how Maid Finder ("we", "us", or "our") handles personal data when you visit our website, create an account, search biodata, save shortlists, or send enquiries. By using the Platform, you acknowledge this Notice and our Terms & Conditions.

1. Who we are

Maid Finder operates an online platform that connects employers with licensed maid agencies. We are not a maid agency. When you enquire about a helper, relevant information may be shared with the agency that published that biodata so they can respond to you.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, and password (stored in hashed form).
• Social login data — if you sign in with Google or another provider, we may receive profile identifiers and basic profile information permitted by that provider.
• Usage data — search filters, shortlists, enquiry messages, pages viewed, device/browser type, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP.
• Communications — messages or feedback you send to us or through the Platform.
• Cookies and similar technologies — to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and improve security.

3. How we use information

We use personal data to operate and improve the Platform, authenticate users, process enquiries, display relevant biodata, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, send service-related notices, and comply with legal obligations. We may use aggregated or anonymised data for analytics and product improvement.

4. Sharing of information

We may share personal data with:

• Maid agencies — when you submit an enquiry or otherwise request contact regarding a biodata listing.
• Service providers — hosting, email, analytics, authentication, security, and IT vendors who process data on our instructions.
• Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell your personal data. Agencies you contact are independent controllers of how they use information you provide to them.

5. Retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Platform, maintain your account, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it using reasonable measures.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ABSOLUTE SECURITY AND THAT USE OF THE PLATFORM IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

7. Your choices and rights

You may update certain account details in your profile or by contacting us. Subject to applicable law (including Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012), you may request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent for certain processing. Withdrawal may limit Platform features. You may disable cookies in your browser, though some functions may not work properly.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in Singapore or other countries. Where required, we take steps intended to ensure appropriate protection consistent with applicable law.

9. Children

The Platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY UNAUTHORISED ACCESS, DISCLOSURE, ALTERATION, LOSS, CORRUPTION, OR DELETION OF PERSONAL DATA, OR FOR ANY MONETARY LOSS, IDENTITY THEFT, REPUTATIONAL HARM, OR OTHER DAMAGE ARISING FROM SUCH EVENTS, WHETHER CAUSED BY US, OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS, THIRD-PARTY AGENCIES, CYBER INCIDENTS, USER ERROR, OR ANY OTHER CAUSE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY PRIVACY-RELATED CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) SINGAPORE DOLLARS FIFTY (S$50), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.

11. Changes to this Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time by posting a revised version on the Platform. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
